3. Text:W. E. Boyce and R.C. DiPrima: Elementary Differential Equations & Boundary Value Problems, Eighth Edition, Sections 1.1-1.4; 2.1-2.6; 3.1-3.9; 4.1-4.4; 5.1-5.3; 10.1-10.5, 10.7.

4. Class meeting time and place: M, W, F,  3:00-3:50pm, EGRA 320.

5. Prerequisites: Math 250, with a grade C or better. During the first week of class, you will be required to take a readiness  quiz. This quiz is designed to test whether you have mastered the prerequisites for this class. Calculators are not allowed in this quiz.

6. Assessment: Three hourly exams, quizzes, plus a common comprehensive final.

7. Quizzes: Unannounced, approx. one quiz a week.

9. Homework: There will be regular homework  assignments in class. The homework will not be graded. However, homework is an essential part of the learning process. You must take the homework assignments very seriously.

10. Incompletes: According to department policy, ``Incomplete" grade will not be assigned unless the student is passing  and there is a medical excuse.
